Demographic Targeting

We have thoroughly analysis on our target demographic for our social media mobile application POP! by chance during our SMB CA.

So we thought that, as POP! will be a social media mobile application to serve the Ngee Ann Polytechnic community. We thought that our targeted audience should be people who are in NP, from 17 - 45 years old which would include both students and staffs.


As why we doesn't target older than 45 years old, we have checked the highest average age groups across the social media, and the range with the oldest is at 45 years old.


So some social media channel we picked are mostly the popular and platforms that are good for advertising, like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.


The characteristics that for our target audience are actually close to the ones of an influencers as we thought that social media is a place where influencer nurtures and grows from. It would actually be pretty effective to target on audiences with the characteristics similar to an influencer and for them to grow on our platforms and attract in more users.
